Why does it take us so long to give an update?

What' s up with all of the social networking, blogging, tweeting, updating, skyping, etc. OVERLOAD. Yes, we're a part of every network out there. Been there. Done that. Got the T-Shirt. We have Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, and yes, this Blog. We have deleted our Xanga accounts and traded in the good ol' fashion AIM for Facebook Messenger and Windows Live! Instead of email, we send a message, and post status updates through our blackberries. You can track us anywhere in the world, and our lives are almost a public record.

If we just spent this much time investing in ministry, service, and true worship, life would seem far less complicated and pure.

So if we don't update and comment as much as we should (please forgive us), just know that we are alive and well and probably posting it on facebook or twitter.

Looking towards eternity with a hope in the future Christ has promised us!

More to come in the future!

Summer Update

WOW!
It's been a whirlwind summer. I can't believe how the time has flown by. God has been so good to us. I look back in awe at the faithfulness of our Creator. I'm so glad that my life is not a series of random events that just occurred by happenstance. Abba Father has intricately woven a unique and perfect plan for us. Nothing happens that was not in His divine and perfect will. It doesn't mean that things go smoothly and easily, but that when faced with trials, HIS grace sustains me. I rest in that peace knowing nothing is out of his control. I can stress and worry until the sun goes down, but that doesn't change his sovereignty and control. Thank you God, You are unchanging and firm.

Here's our in bullet point form (for streamline purposes)

Cell Phone Super Star

Hello All,

We apologize for not updating in a while. It has been a very busy May. It is the end of school. Therefore, there are many programs, banquets, actitivies, parties, and graduations. We have not had a moment of peace. But it's ok. We love being with and celebrating with the ones we care for.

In the midst of our chaos, Kevin has been selected to be one of the TOP TEN FINALISTS for Cell Phone Super Star on the JOY FM. It is a Christian Radio station in the Tampa Bay area. They have a program where you can register to sing on the air over your cell phone. This week was the qualifying round. Kevin's name happened to be picked. So the afternoon DJ called up Kevin on his way home from work. Kevin had to sing any song that came to his head. (he had already pre-planned that he would sing My Girl if he was called). So...driving home on Bloomingdale Avenue in Brandon, Kevin sang My Girl. I was able to hear it, because I was listening on my radio in my car as I got home from work. It was great.

This evening he got a call that he was in the TOP. He has to sing two songs this week (one Disney Song and one hymn). He has to be ready at any time to answer his cell phone and sing!!!

If he makes it to the final two, they allow the listeners to vote on the winner. The radio station staff picks the finalists up to the Top 2.

We'll keep you updated. It's certainly fun to get to the Top 10 even if he doesn't make it any further.

Kevin' Music

I know many of you ask where you can hear some of Kevin's music. He has a Myspace Music Page that he updates rarely with new music. He has just posted some stuff that he recorded on the fly this week in our church auditorium.

ENJOY!
